Fishing Better Than Valium At Chilling You Out

Do you ever feel stressed? Edgy? Full of anxiety? My advice is to grab a fishing rod, a few hooks and head for the river, lake or Ocean and just start casting. You will immediately find you heart rate slowing, your mind becomes calm and you suddenly forget your problems. It really has nothing to do with fishing in and of itself. But look around you. See the birds? See the trees? Feel the breeze? Feel the rhythm of the waves? When was the last time you allowed yourself the quiet and solitude of nature? In my experience the act of focusing on this simple physical task and placing myself in a quiet puts my body, mind and spirit in tune. Consistently I will be more relaxed, happier and calmer. Unless of course actually catch a fish! The contest between you and the fish is exhilarating but it is also problematic. What to do with it after you catch it? Return it? Fillet it? Goodness, you expect me to touch it? Better to go barbless!
